Gorillas in the Mist - Tracking Gorillas in Uganda & Rwanda
[ACUG06]: 'Gorillas In The Mist' - Expert Tracking (11 Days)
Gorillas are interesting creatures and they are the next closest living relatives to humans after the two chimpanzee species. They are also the largest of the living primates that inhabit the forests of East and Central Africa. Many of us have heard about the 1988 movie 'Gorillas in the Mist' which tells the true-life story of naturalist Dian Fossey and her work with gorillas. The film is based on a book writen by Fossey, describing her time in Africa studying gorillas before she was mysteriously murdered in Rwanda. It is marketed with the tagline "At the far ends of the earth she found a reason to live, and a cause to fight for."

This safari gives you the opportunity to re-live the steps of Dian Fossey and her relentless efforts to saving the African Mountain gorilla from illegal poaching and likely extinction. This trip is generally available all the year as long as is possible to secure Gorilla Tracking Permits in Uganda. However, th dry seasons are most likely to guarantee a better road conditions in the parks. Learn More >
