A Safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park offers the opportunity to see game in unusual landscapes and the park is one of Africa's best-kept secrets. The Park lies across the equator in the southwest of Uganda. It is situated at the base of the Rwenzori Mountains often known as the “Mountains of the moon”, which rise to over 5000m. It supports abundance of wildlife, boasting one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game park or reserve in the world. It has almost 100 mammal species and a remarkable 606 bird species makes this superb safari territory with elephant, hippos, the forest monkey lion, leopard, the unique Ugandan antelope, the kob and birds and flocks of flamingo are residents on the crater lakes.
