Tanzania Travel & Tourism Attractions

Tanzania, a land of spectacular beauty, and one of the largest countries in Africa, is a union (formed in 1964) between the mainland (Tanganyika), and the Zanzibar Isles consisting of Unguja (also known as Zanzibar) and Pemba. It lies on the east coast of Africa, between 1degree and 11degrees south of the Equator. It is bordered to the north by Kenya and Uganda. To the west is Zaire, Rwanda, Burundi and Zambia, and to the south are Malawi and Mozambique. It covers an area of 945,000 sq. km, the size of Denmark, France, the Netherlands, the Republic of Ireland, and the United Kingdom combined.

Tanzania is a breathtaking destination for a first-time safari or for experienced safari enthusiasts alike. A Tanzania safari offers abundant wildlife in the world-famous Ngorongoro crater, the Serengeti and Lake Manyara; huge areas of virgin wilderness and the pristine silver beaches of Zanzibar and Pemba. Best Time To Visit Tanzania
Tanzania Travel & Tourism Attractions
The best time to see the Wildebeest and Zebra migration in Tanzania is between May and September and the best time for large predators is June to October. There are two rainy seasons; the short rains from November to January bring afternoon showers whereas the long rains from late March to early June mean longer, more severe downpours. From June
onwards, the temperature rises agreeably and the drier weather makes the southern Parks of Selous and Ruaha more accessible. The coastal areas of Zanzibar and the Indian Ocean and southern Tanzania are generally hot and humid all year round, with cool breezes from June to September. We will adapt your itinerary to make sure that you visit the most game-rich areas at any time.

Tanzania, is therefore a true natural beauty, a land of mystery, wildlife and hospitality. It's timeless appeal is a magnet for adventure travellers from all over the world. Tanzania, the land of Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar is best known for the vast Serengeti National Park stretching out to over 13,000 square kilometers. It is in the Serengeti that you will see some of the most spectacular sunsets in the world. There is so much more in this fascinating country. Ngorongoro Crater, a world heritage site, is home to a whole host of wildlife, which have converted the crater floor into their natural home. There is also the Lake Manyara region popular for its 'tree-climbing' lions.
