ITINERARY - Kenya Week Safari Tour: 7 Days / 6 Nights

On the the first day will be picked from your Nairobi Hotel / Residence or Airport and transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled morning flight to the Amboseli National Park. The flight is approximately 40 minutes to Amboseli.Upon arrival at the airstrip‚ you will be met by a driver/ guide who will transfer you to Elewana Tortilis Camp as you enjoy a short game drive just before check in. After lunch you will depart for a late afternoon game drive or enjoy other activities offered at the camp. On the 2nd day, you will set out just before sunrise in search of game as you enjoy the richness of the Park's wildlife and endless savannah. Amboseli is best known for its unrivalled views of Kilimanjaro and the local elephant population. There are over 1000 elephants in the parks eco-system‚ featuring some of the largest in Africa. In between your morning and afternoon game drive you will have ample time to relax and enjoy the ambience or choose to enjoy the bird walk that starts at the entrance of the hotel and winds its way under the canopy of acacia trees around the camp. On the third day‚ early morning pick up from your camp in Amboseli to catch a local flight to Wilson Airport, Nairobi, for for a further scheduled flight to the Samburu Game Reserve. The flight is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the airstrip‚ you will be met by a driver/ guide who will transfer you to Intrepid Camp to check in‚ from the airstrip you will enjoy a short game drive viewing. Samburu Intrepids is a lush oasis on the banks of the great Uaso Nyiro River in Samburu Game Reserve. The tented luxury camp is a delight to be in – deliciously cooled by the river breeze and the forest. After lunch you will depart for a late afternoon game drive or enjoy other activities offered at the camp. On the second day, you will set out just before sunrise in search of game as you enjoy the richness and uniqueness of Samburu's wildlife and endless savannah. Later in the day you will engage in a variety of safari activities which offer exciting add-ons to one's stay. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. The flight is approximately 1hour / 45minutes. Upon arrival at the airstrip‚ you will be met by a driver/guide who will transfer you to the Heritage's Explorer Camp to check in. From the airstrip you will enjoy a short game drive viewing. After lunch you will have an extended game drive until 1800hrs. The first sight of Masai Mara Game Reserve is truly awesome. Here we learn and see first hand the intricate web of dependency that binds the different animal species together. Each of the animals has adapted to its own niche and to the other animals that surround it. Here we see Nature at its most subtle and, sometimes, most cruel as each animal struggles to survive and reproduce.

On our morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara we have a very good chance of seeing all the major plains animals including lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, rhino, hyena, cheetah, jackal, warthog and many species of antelope. On the subsequent 2 days, every early morning game drive conducted in 4×4 vehicles and accompanied by an experienced driver guide. Lectures on wildlife conservation and culture are regularly given. Each day you will engage in a variety of exciting safari activities. They vary depending on the clientele needs and include bush activities, hot-air balloon rides, fishing excursions, evening entertainment and sundowners. After breakfast enjoy your last game drive before checking out of your tents. Transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi, Kenya's colourful capital city, scheduled at 11h00. A sumptuous barbeque lunch waits for you at the famous Nairobi Carnivore Restaurant where we also share the Kenya memories with AfriChoice Tour Director. Carnivore Experience is also described as 'Meat Eaters Paradise' and is the Africa's Greatest Eating Experence! If your flight departs this evening, you may opt to take a day room to rest at city hotel at small fee. Your tour leader will advise you on cost and availability. Later, we transfer you to the Airport for your onward arrangements. AfriChoice! airport representative will escort you to your onward flight, and assist you at check-in. This marks the end of your Kenya Week Luxury Camping adventure!
